GEDCOM Family Files These are Gedcom files donated by our members. The Society does not accept responsibility for their accuracy.If you want to submit a file for listing send it to the webmaster.
Create a GEDCOM with Family Tree Maker1. Privatize your file first. Click on "File", then drop down the list to "Preferences"; drop again to "Privatize"; now click on the box that says "Privatize Information"; Click OK 2. The color of the Family Tree Maker screen will change to indicate that the file has been privatized. That will shield information on living individuals. 3. Now create the GEDCOM file. 4. Click on "File"; drop to "Copy/Export Family File"; click. A save dialog box will come up with the heading "New Family File" 5. Now click on the drop down arrow next to the "Save As:" box. Drop down to "GEDCOM (*.GED)" Select it. 6. Now go up one block and enter a file name. Click "SAVE" When complete simply attack the file to an e-mail and we'll take care of posting it. |
