Donations

The aims of the Columbia County Historical and Genealogical Society include the collection and preservation of the historic heritage of the county. To do so the Society needs financial donations to support artifact preservation, library and website maintenance, and interpretation and publication of historical materials.

The Society also welcomes donations of physical objects that represent and help interpret the history of Columbia County. Materials in our collections include photographs, books, and documents, as well as artifacts ranging from Native American objects to vintage memorabilia. The Society will protect and preserve such items for future generations. Since our space is limited, we usually accept only items specifically related to Columbia County. If you have something you’d like to donate, please contact Carol Woolridge at the Society or by email.

The Society is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and donations are fully tax-deductible. The Society provides receipts for donations. The Society, by law, is unable to provide monetary valuations of material donations; if such valuations are desired, donors should contact a licensed appraiser.
